No More Robocalls - Let's Create A Political Do Not Call Registry.

I recently learned in a Network World article about the do not call registry that politicians among others, are exempt. Exempt! There is a new non-profit that wants to stop these political telemarketing "robocalls." I invite you to sign up for noticifaction when they start a registry - I know I don't want to receive all those automated calls and the last local election in Forsyth County, GA was a nightmare. Our answering machine couldn't keep up with those calls. Stop the Robocalls! Thanks for contacting Citizens for Civil Discourse (a non partisan non profit corporation), the home of the National Political Do Not Contact Registry! This is a grass roots initiative.   We the people need to take back control of the political discussion and tell politicians not to call us (or mail or email) if we ask them not to do so.What is next? Building the Political Do Not Call Registry website and database –-> launch in mid to late September, 2007.
    • Once it is launched, you will be notified and asked to officially sign up and join the Registry.
What you can do in the meantime:
    • If appropriate, please tell your friends and family about this exciting non profit by asking them to visit:
    • Let us know why you care so much about this issue.  Do you have a story to tell?  Do you remember a particularly disagreeable phone call you received?   What would you like to tell the politicians (from all parties)?
Please feel free to contact us with any further questions you may have. -- Cheers,Shaun Dakin – CEO & Founder Citizens For Civil Discourse eBio @ http://www.linkedin.com/in/shaundakin info@citizensforcivildiscourse.org CCD website: http://www.StopPoliticalRobocalls.org/ Technorati Tags: do, not, call, registry
